Default June 08 Strategy

Look at water temps in bays and the front.
Look at prevailing weather patterns. Look at history.

Where do you plan to be this June?

You dont have to give spots. But you can if you want

I plan to start driving the front side and looking for action for a surf launch. Thinking about the front by Sandy Hook. Also Belmar area. I think for big bass, the back bays may be played out right now.

Ideas, theories. Collaboration is a beautiful thing.

Very weird year as far as temps go. Slow to come up, then they crash again. 10 degree drop in 3 days with a south wind!

I'll be front side from the beach most of the time out of neccesity, as I have kids in tow. I will get one or two opportunities to surf launch, but likely not until the very end of the month. On the plus side, those launches will be nighttime and should yield me something.

Well pretty spot on the plan so far. My timing has been just a hair off, but a family will do that to you.

Others? How is June treating you? Did you do what you wanted?

Surf Launches? I was fishing a beach on Tuesday that had over 100 surf casters elbow to elbow. Some of those guys had to be thinking about whats beyond the third wave.

I have been amazed by the very small amount of kayaks I have seen out front.

Bought my first "real" saltwater flyrod yesterday, 9wt TFO TiCrX...tied up sum offerings last night and hitting the backside...hopefully, sometime this weekend if work and family cooperate. June is "Get Back To Flyfishing" month for me. Going to be shaking off the cobwebs...
