A beautiful day to be out...caught lots of shorts / slots. Fishing was not a problem...catching caused some loooong paddles back. By the time I got the fish in and released I would drift 1/4 to 1/2 mile due to a steady 15-20 mph wind. Tried casting and jigging but only caught fish while drifting sand eels. Got surprised on the way in. Tried to time the sets but didn't realize there was only 3" of water on the bar. Came to an abrupt halt when I grounded. Might as well been anchored. Got hit with one of those high standing waves with the spray blowing back...looked real pretty but knocked me over anyway...man that water's gettin cold! No injuries or gear loss so I good day. (cheated death again)

Good Show
If you fished in LBI you may have bigger bass coming down your way soon . Don't sweat the landing happens to the best of us .

With that blowing away while landing problem, I throw my sea anchor out. Worries me the line will tangle, but it beats visiting Iceland.
