Re: Fishing Reports Summer 2019
good job Rob; my first fish in a pond in north Jersey was a sunnie; I was about 8; came home and went to the original Bob Kislins in Asbury and bought a rod and reel...a Spin Joy reel

Get out there, if you can. The change in the dew point will get things going!!

Moco Out front 12p to 7P with a west wind and ankle high swell. There was small baitfish in the trough. I caught over 20 flat ones all between 15 and 17 inches. One keeper at 19.

Re: Fishing Reports Summer 2019
Fresh and rested , back from 3 week vacation I paid a visit to western LI Sound on kayak yesterday...usual spots...a lot of sun, light breeze and low humidity...joy to be outside. Water temps around 72F...caught around 2 dozen fluke with one keeper at 19.5" and bunch of large porgies in 14-15" range...the fish of day was sea robin...I caught and released probably close to 50 of them ...many doubles...and some of them quite large...you do no know whether to like them or hate them

Moco 4p-7P Outfront West wind with flat swell. I was on the fly searching for big flat ones. This is not what I had in mind on my eight weight fly outfit. A half hour later it was released safely.

Re: Fishing Reports Summer 2019
I'm back from vacation up at the Finger Lakes with GF and my kids. No fishing, and I'm getting a little twitchy. Work is going to require a deal of attention for a few days and I'm glad the weather isn't perfect.
Bill, I feel your pain and hope you're back to your usual high mobility soon.

I was impressed by how much pressure I could put on the beast with an eight weight rod, without the knots failing. I would not have tested those limits on a fish I was fond of!

Isn't soaking a wound in salt water considered therapeutic?

In the news, a whale washed up on Gunnison beach today. Funny, he didn't have any clothes on
