The AK is basically a big boy plinker much like the Red Rider BB gun of your youth, The ammo is cheap compared with others. For those living in a vacuum it is semi-auto and not full auto.

My question for the master is, why is the AK not protected as a curio and relic being more then 50 years old?

Sidebar, I do not like them and would never own one.

Me neither. I only own and use sporting arms: Rem 870 and my wife uses a Rem 1100. Own no rifles, other than a ..22 single. We also have trap and Skeet 12 gauges though I have got three Browning Citoris for birds in 12 and 20.

Victims of mass shootings are now sueing gun makers for being responsible for all these deaths. The bleeding hearts will have us all hunting with sharp sticks.

That should be thrown out of court but it mostly likely won't.

If a person takes a Chevy and mows down a bunch of people, can GM be held responsible?

We have evolved into two cultures: those who would ban all firearms; and, secondly, those who seek to retain the Second Amendment. The latter are saying that these anti-gun regs don't do anything but inconvenience law abiding gun owners. Our son, who is a devout Christian, is on the low key security team at his church. These guys attend services packing heat. No one knows who they are and the sidearm does not show, but its there in case some crazy bastard shows up as it has elsewhere.

Speaking of the Bill of Rights, Cuomo is having the Guard run around confiscating ventilators, imagine what they might be inclined to do without a 2nd Amendment...

That would make you a die hard liberal!
"The Cuomo Crime Family"has been a plague to NY since I was a kid growing up on Long Island. When I first started to drive, there were signs up on all the parkways in Jones Beach where these "very Italian" construction companies were endlessly repaving the roads (that had just been repaved) with big green signs everywhere stating:

REBUILDING NEW YORK
Gov Mario Cuomo

Today, 45 years later the repaving continues and the signs are the same only they say "Andrew" instead of "Mario".....

In 2015 Cuomo's budget team noted that NY state would be ill prepared for a pandemic(pun intent) and would need 16,000 ventalaters in reserve. Nope. 2000 is enough. We'll spend the rest on subsidizing solar power.

Interesting as well as telling that the historical facts on Cuomo are not as favorable as I had at first thought. Being a New Englander, I had no idea he was that bad, But then I should have known that, being a Democrat, was a problem.
