It's Thursday morning and the reports show "ENE wind 14 to 19 kt" at IBSP. That sounds fishable - in the bay, at least.!

Well Florida made it through the first month of hurricane season unscathed. The easy part is over.

Some waves coming off of Africa, but I'm assuming upper atmosphere is still not set up for major development in the next week or so:

The Florida panhandle to gulf coast of Texas always seems to be in the crosshairs. Granted that does cover a large area.

NOLA is getting up to 2 FEET of rain. And again, their levee system is in the crosshairs.

well, we are moving into the summer doldrums, with the conga line of waves coming off the African continent. We shall see if/when the upper atmosphere conditions allow formation, and then the jetstream steering currents.

but for now, we have that gulf pattern that has given headaches with Barry

Cool Re: 2019 Tropical Storm Thread

Latest TD 03... won't hit NJ, but looks to generate some bigger surf later this week.

This one developed in the Caribbean and with all the heat wave hysteria, hasn't grabbed the local weather-hype-er's attention. Be on the lookout for dire warnings of rip-currents coming to a newscast near you soon

well, #1 is going to just be a rain event, probably affecting us at some point in the next week.

#2 (the X just off of Africa) shows more signs of development, still TBD on impact

Looks like things are lining up for you

At this point, it's way too early to tell where the second wave is going, so let's hoping

I think both of these would clear out before you're down there... but you never know with the conga line of waves coming off Africa
