I hate windows 10 and would pay to be rid of it. Now, I don't trust the company. I was advised to frag my rig and I Xd out of it. I am presently testing a new sign-on and might have it; but I thought that last time.

a very good source who is in the digital marketing business tells me there is so much internet hacking going on in the would , it it wise to keep up w/ the latest programs . THEIR Programs have security built into it for THEM because THEY need to change the old system Is there marketing ploys ? yes . Its just like changing your pass word when needed. Always getting new replacements credit cards more often too.
Don't call for the Whinebulance when your security can't handle the new virus .

Problem seems to be that transition software is not capable of permitting a smooth transition. For instance, why is my printer uninstalled? I know that I am supposed to do the reinstallation myself but installing a printer is something that I do so rarely that I can't remember how. Then there is the Frank/Francis thing. My favorites are jumbled also. It is not an easy transition.

Copy down the make and model of your printer. Go to manufactures site and look for tab that says downloads. Click on that and find your printer model and download. Of course if your printer is seven days older then God you are out of luck.

Thanks, Rich. But I am mentoring a guy for hunting/shooting whose butt I wipe regularly with favors, tips and equip who just happens to be a commercial computer guru for a living. He can't hit sh*t with a gun but he is very computerlogical and does my butt computerwise. I will let him take care of it and just give him another place to hunt as payment.

I am glad you have a guru on your team but that wiping butt both his and yours is an ugly mental picture. Bil Gates , can I delete a mental picture?.

Rich, that is a common figure of speech. Let me rephrase by saying we help each other. The guy fixes, replaces, whatever an entire medical office system of computer needs. He drinks all my Scotch and staggers into my office and does my computer stuff. My issues are sissy to him.

The latest mystery is I got a PM from a guy I want back and I responded to his message but I think it was lost. I suspect that I have an AFU browser that came with the Windows 10. Maybe Francis should send Frank a PM if Frank's reply doesn't go through, we'll know.

I don't know how to do that but my computer guy is coming for Scotch and dinner and I will talk to him. I think pictures juice up the joint and my present browser does not allow pix.

I have had a recent attack upon what is known to be one of my vulnerabilities. Fine if you want to bring me down, but when you do it, don't come back.

Lets take a moment to thank our military for their service this November 11. Representative of that service is our webmaster, Bob D'Amico, who served in combat in Vietnam, who I believe was wounded. Thank you for your service, Bob.

For some reason, I never knew that... or more likely completely forgot with my bad memory!

Thank you to anyone reading this who served!

Ours is a history of wars. Most adult males were subjected to military service, some luckier than others. My war was Korea during a period when Universal Military Training was mandated by Congress. I enlisted in the Naval Reserve the day of my 17th birthday, 1953, for an 8 year tour while I was still in high school. That same year an armistice held at Panmonjom agreed to a cease fire. My older brother was called to Active duty but being still in School they held off my call to active duty. Later, the war locked in a stalemate, they didn't want fathers which by then I had four kids.

I was what was then a Gung-ho sailor. When I graduated HS in 1956 I was a rated Yeoman Third (E-4). I loved the Navy and the Service loved me. I never did a thing but training. I think, but I really don't know, that I ruined my hearing on a Destroyer Escort in a firing practice session because I was only yards from a 5:38 gun mount; those things crack! Today I am hard of hearing and have been putting off getting a hearing aid. One drill my boss, a Chief Yeoman, threw a red and yellow National Defense ribbon on my desk saying that I earned it by taking on a Panama whorehouse single handedly. (Never been to Panama) They gave that ribbon to everybody and it looked nice with my dress blues. Mister Smarty: war hero.
