Looking for some help with parking and fishing on foot in the Watch Hill area.

Any help appreciated. I'll be glad to reciprocate if anyone is coming to Jersey.

Thanks,

Steve

If you're going to Napatree I believe there's a municipal lot off to the right of Bay Street. Just up a bit there's a lot on the left if you're walking to the lighthouse.

Thanks Spence. I'll look for that. That is the area we will be in.

There is a salt pond right in that area as well? Any advice on that?

Steve

Not sure, I've only been there once. By salt pond, do you mean Little Narragansett bay? The water around Napatree point?

Thanks for the replies guys.

We had a charter in the morning to fidh the Watch Hill reefs with squid flies, as the bass are chasing them this time of year. It wasn't the explosive fishing we were hoping for, but we did OK. Biggest fish was just under 13lbs.

We also fished the flat water behind Napatree, and there were schoolie bass and blues on sand eels. I switched to the 8wt and had a ball.

That evening we did some recon and fished near the breachway and caught mostly dinks, but one fish to 24inches.

Thanks for the input. This is a great area to flyfish, much better than Jersey in general. I plan on going back and getting to know more about it.

Tight Lines.

WASS
