Default 12' Tiger shark caught from surf by younk kid

http://extremecoast.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6501

Not a New Jersey topic but I stumbled on this and I had to share. the story mentions that one of the kids WENT INTO THE WATER AND TIED A ROPE TO THE TAIL TO GET IT OFF A SANDBAR...sick!!!! I would do that for a moby striper but not a Tiger Shark! Then they released it.. I have heard of "noodling" for catfish in Tennesee but Texas is a bit more extreme it seems.

That looks like it could be a big bull or a small Mako..The blue line that goes over the top of the eye and straight down makes me think that..I'm most likely wrong because this is a Texas shark. I will post my Mako pics one of these days.....Patrick..

I thought bulls had a wide snout. Looks like a mako, I'm cuious of the story about this fish, Mako's are usually not too close to the beach.

Edit: found the story

Awesome story! Mako's are insane on the end of your wire leader! 4 10' jumps?! A few 300 yd runs! All of f the beach. One minute thet are catching Spanish Mackeral at 3#'s then Huge Mako's and Bull sharks ALL OFF THE BEACH! Thanks number5.
