I have (thought I mentioned it in some other rod thread) a tica dolphin 3-8oz (just noticed Kroc recommended the same ), 11ft 2piece I use for bait which is great, comes in a spin version... but the ocean master also looks good.

For brigantine bait fishing, most times you do not want a wimpy rod for lobbing, though it's good practice to lob something short and put another out far.

Of course, don't ask me... I don't know what finfish want anymore... just do what you want
