I don't know... personally, I don't think this looks like a Squid, and I don't know what the fish think it is. They do think it's edible, and that's all that matters to me. If you tie this, be careful not to crowd the head. There's alot of material up in the front so it's easy to do.

• Hook: Mustad 34007 or equivalent
• Thread: Gray
• Tail: White Bucktail, White Saddle Hackle
• Wing: Purple UltraHair, Yellow Marabou, Badger Saddle Hackle
• Collar: A mix of Yellow and Red Bucktail, and Brown Marabou

1. Place the hook in the vise and attach the tying thread.
2. Tie in th4e White Bucktail so it extends about 3" past the bend.
3. Tie 2 White Saddles on either side of the Bucktail.
4. Throw in a few half-hitches to lock it down.
5. Move the thread forward and start the wing by tying in a small clump of the Ultra Hair.
6. Place a clump of Yellow Marabou on top of the Ultra Hair and tie it in place, making sure it stays on the very top.
7. Bracket the Ultra Hair and Marabou with one Badger Saddle tied on either side.
8. Tie in a very sparse ( one hair width wide ) collar of the Yellow and Red Bucktail mixed together.
9. Throw in a few half-hitches to lock it down.
10. Tie in the Brown Marabou in a full collar.
11. Whip Finish and apply your favorite head cement.
